GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Carolina Theatre hosted a Food Truck Festival as part of the First Friday festivities in downtown Greensboro.

Six different trucks rolled into the parking lot next to the theatre, offering everything from sweets to barbeque.

It’s one of the latest additions to a growing tradition in downtown Greensboro. Food trucks were initially banned in the city, but that rule was reversed following a test period in 2012.

Food Truck Owner Nick Benshoff with Bandito Burrito, said allowing trucks to serve in a central location would allow better business for the owners and choices for the city customers.

"You could go every day to same place and know that from this time to this time, there's going to be food trucks of some sort there on a rotation," Benshoff said.
