DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A Florida man is facing assault charges after an arrest report says he pushed his girlfriend and cut her with glass when she wouldn’t give him a good-night kiss.

The Palm Beach Bost reports that 59-year-old Rudolph Battaglia is facing battery and aggravated battery charges.

The man allegedly got mad whenever he asked for a good-night kiss and she told him that she already gave him one. He then shoved her on the bed and threatened her with a piece of glass from a decoration.

“I am going to cut you in the private area and kill you,” he said, according to the report.

The woman’s left thumb was injured by a piece of glass after he slammed the decoration on the table.

The 54-year-old woman just recently arrived in Delray Beach and planned to move in with Battaglia.

He is in jail on a $10,000 bond.
