A pair of fishermen has recently caught the largest Bluefin tuna ever caught in North Carolina waters.
WITN reported that Captain Herb Sheades of Newport and angler Jonathan Anderson caught the 1,005 tuna last week off Cape Lookout.
The fish reportedly took them out to sea and they battled with it for more than three hours.
“It was an awesome experience and it takes dedication,” said the captain. “Don’t believe in the word can’t.”
North Carolina Sportsman reported that the catch is the largest ever of its kind in North Carolina, measuring 115 inches long.
