Firefighters rescue two girls from NC house fire

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Firefighters saved two girls from a house fire Wednesday morning just after 8 a.m.

The girls, 14 and 16, are being treated for smoke inhalation at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The fire  started at a home off Rosehill Road.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Damage to the home is estimated at about $20,000. The American Red Cross was requested to assist family members.
