DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. — Firefighters Monday morning battled a fire at Cooleemee Mill in Davie County.

The call came in about 6:30 a.m., said Davidson County Fire Marshal Jerry Myers.

The part of the mill that caught fire is currently being used as a storage facility. Myers said they are investigating this fire possibly suspicious/intentionally set.

No word on what started the fire. Firefighters were working to put out hotspots.

No one was injured.
