BLAND COUNTY, Va. — Traffic on Interstate 77 is blocked after a tractor-trailer fire inside the East River Mountain Tunnel in Virginia.
The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reported that no one is believed to be seriously injured, but a photographer saw someone being treated for smoke inhalation.
The Virginia Department of Transportation posted an alert about 5:15 p.m. warning drivers to expect significant delays. Traffic backups were about 6 miles long.
