Fire damages High Point townhome

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A fire damaged a High Point townhome on Wednesday night, according to High Point Fire Marshal Chris Weir.

Crews were called to 244-A Northpoint Ave. on a reported townhome fire.

The fire is now under control.

No injuries were reported.

Weir said the fire started in a bedroom and he believes the cause was electrical.

Two people lived in the townhome and the Red Cross is helping them find a place to stay.
