Only 26,794 people have completed the enrollment process for health care coverage through HealthCare.gov, the federally run online portal for Obamacare health insurance, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius told reporters on a conference call on Wednesday.

In addition, 79,391 have enrolled for coverage through separate state-based exchanges. That brings the total number to 106,185.

Additionally, over 975,000 people applied for insurance and were deemed eligible but have not yet selected a plan.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Wednesday that “you can expect” the Obama administration to announce plans for addressing health policy cancellations under Obamacare “sooner rather than later.”

Carney said President Barack Obama has asked “his team” to come up with policy options, suggesting they were moving quickly. The House is expected to vote on a Republican plan to address the matter on Friday.
