LILLINGTON, N.C. -- The Charlotte Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Raleigh Police Department and the Harnett County Sheriff's Office are looking to identify victims of child abuse after the arrest of an alleged sexual offender in Lillington, N.C. on April 29.

Ronald Keith Black Sr., 41, was arrested and charged with 29 counts of first-degree sexual offense and 12 counts of indecent liberties with a minor in relation to the sharing of child pornography over the internet.

According to an FBI news release, allegations of sexual abuse were made against Black from the late 1980s to early 2006. It is believed that there may be additional victims that haven't been identified or located.

Black has connections to the Lillington and White Lake, N.C. areas, as well as Florence, S.C. and an unknown location in Tenessee.

He was a youth group leader in the 80s.

Public Affairs Specialist Shelley Lynch with the FBI Charlotte Division said depending on additional victims that come forward there could be more charges, but more importantly, they want to make sure they are getting the counseling they need.

"It began as a child pornography investigation and then as our investigation progressed we did find evidence that he had direct sexual abuse with children," Lynch said. "We only have so many eyes in law enforcement but through social media, through, we can kind of put out this type of information and reach more people more quickly."

Anyone with information regarding Ronald Keith Black is asked to contact FBI Charlotte at (704)-672-6100.
