BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. — FBI agents were combing two properties in western North Carolina once owned by the man accused in a deadly shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado, a spokesperson for the bureau said Tuesday.

Agents were assisting agents in Denver at properties on Anderson Acres in Black Mountain and Long Branch Road in Swannanoa.

Tax records indicate that Robert Dear owned the properties in Buncombe County between 2006 and 2015.

Investigators said a police officer and two civilians were killed when Dear entered a Planned Parenthood clinic in Denver and opened fire on Nov. 27. Police got into a gunfight with Dear in the parking lot.
