FBI accuses two Wake County men of supporting terrorism

RALEIGH, N.C. – The FBI is accusing two Wake County men of conspiracy to support overseas terrorism, according to WTVD-TV.

Avin Marsalis Brown – AKA Musa Brown – and Akba Jihad Jordan allegedly conspired to “kill or maim persons outside the United States.

The accusations are made in a criminal complaint filed in the Eastern District of North Carolina United States District Court.

The complaint says Brown contacted an FBI source saying he wanted to go overseas and fight in either Yemen or Syria.

In the conversations, the FBI says Jordan also said he wanted to travel to fight non-Muslims.

The men said they needed passports, training, and wanted to purchase guns and bulletproof vests.
