FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — It may be a week or more before investigators know anything about the skeletal remains found along railroad tracks in Fayetteville, police said Wednesday.

According to the Fayetteville Observer, more bones were found this morning when investigators returned to the site near the Aberdeen and Rockfish Railroad Co. building.

A press conference was held at noon Wednesday, where police said it’s too early to know specific details.

The announcement did not involve any information about Kelli Bordeaux, who has been missing since May 2012. She was declared dead by the Army.

The bones have been sent to the state Medical Examiner’s office in Raleigh.
