Fayetteville man charged with 159 sex crimes

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) –A Fayetteville man was arrested and charged with 53 counts of statutory rape, 53 counts of taking indecent liberties with a child and 53 counts of statutory sex offense on Wednesday, according to WTVD.

The Fayetteville Police arrested Christopher Williams in connection with incidents involving a 15-year-old female, and on-going investigation involving a 14-year-old female.

According to police, the 14-year-old and her guardian went to police on January 5 and reported that she had been held against her will at a residence in Fayetteville for weeks and engaged in sexual relations with the resident.

During the course of the investigation, detectives responded to the residence to interview Williams.

After getting permission from Williams to search his residence, detectives found a 15-year-old female hiding inside.

Upon further investigation, it was found that the 15-year-old had been staying with the suspect since May 2012 and having sexual relations with the suspect.

Williams is being held on a $1.3 million bond.
