CHARLOTTE, N.C. — ESPN officials are in Charlotte this week to survey the city as a potential host of the 2014 X Games.

The sports network announced in April the Queen City was a finalist to host the event.  Other potential host cities include Austin, Chicago and Detroit.

According to WSOC, ESPN representatives will be in Charlotte on Tuesday and Wednesday.

If Charlotte is chosen to host the games, the events would take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the Z-Max Drag Strip.
