GREENSBORO, N.C. — Students from Sedgefield Elementary School checked up on Greensboro’s energy efficiency on Tuesday.

The students learned about recycling and reducing energy before their visit to City Hall.

The students went door-to-door checking for what staff members are doing right and what they need to improve.

Diane Moreno, one of the students, said there’s room for improvement.

“Energy has a lot to do with money, and if you’re not very energy efficient, then that’s not good,” Moreno said.

The city is kicking off its sustainability challenge to save energy and money.
