ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — An elderly Rowan County woman told police she hid in the bathroom of her home during a break-in.
Deputies responded to 1065 Garrick Road in Salisbury after receiving reports of a home break-in.
The 82-year-old resident told authorities that she ran and hid in her bathroom after hearing someone break into her home through the front door.
Later, investigators received information that a home at 1445 Garrick Road was broken into as well.
During the course of the investigation, 28-year-old Joshua Lee Meece, 23-year-old John Christopher Meece, and 22-year-old Miranda Gail Waggoner were developed as suspects in these crimes.
Miranda Waggoner was arrested for felony breaking and entering on Nov. 9. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
Deputies are still looking for Joshua Lee Meece and John Christopher Meece. Both are wanted for felony breaking and entering, and Joshua Meece is also wanted for felony first-degree burglary.
