Driver sought after hitting NC home, leaving baby in car

DURHAM, N.C. — Authorities in Durham are searching for a driver who ran off after crashing into a home early Thursday morning, leaving behind a baby in the backseat.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. when a deputy with the Durham County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over the driver.

Authorities said as the deputy was walking up to the car, the driver sped off.
