HIGH POINT, N.C. — A man has been arrested and charged with “huffing” following a head-on collision on Eastchester Drive.

Two employees of Jimmy’s Plumbing were driving on Eastchester Drive near the Oak Hollow Lake Dam, when a Jeep crossed the center line and hit them head-on.

Witnesses said the Jeep swerved into the path of the truck but it wasn’t clear why.

According to police the jeep’s driver, 27-year-old, Adrian Campos Guerra, was huffing compressed air, which caused him to pass out resulting in the June 20 crash.

Tim Martin, owner of the plumbing service believes it was a miracle that his employees weren’t injured more severely.

“There had to be somebody watching over them to keep them safe,” said Martin.

According to Martin, the two men who were on their way to a service call at the time of the accident and haven’t been able to work since.

Both men are recovering from their injuries at home.

On Tuesday, Police arrest and charged Guerra with inhaling fumes for purpose of causing intoxication and two-counts of personal injury by vehicle.
