WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Downtown Brody’s Bar, 249 W. Fourth St., has new owners and a new name, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Norb Cooper and Will Kingery are taking over the bar and calling it The Bar on Fourth Street.

The two already own Willow’s Bistro, Silo Bistro and Bar and King’s Crab Shack — and the latter is just two doors down from the new bar.

“We’ve been wanting to get into the bar business for a while, and this was just a good opportunity,” Kingery said. “We’re going to clean up the place and hold it to the standards that we hold our restaurants to.”

The location next to King’s Crab’s Shack made sense. “If the Crab Shack is busy, we can send people over to the bar for a drink, then buzz them when their table is ready,” Kingery said.
