Dispute over hair clippers in Greensboro turns violent

GREENSBORO — A Greensboro man stabbed another man when a dispute over hair clippers turned violent, police said.

Michael Anthony Pickett, 56, of 101 Greenbriar Road, Apt. B, stabbed another man at about 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to incident reports.

Pickett and several other people, including a 36-year-old Greensboro man, were gathered behind Pickett’s apartment building, where the 36-year-old was giving other people haircuts, police said.

Pickett had run an extension cord from inside his apartment to power the hair clippers, according to police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen.
