LEXINGTON, N.C. (WGHP)— A woman has been arrested after 119 vials of synthetic marijuana were seized from a Lexington tobacco business on Thursday.
Elizabeth Taylor, 50, of Lexington, faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance.
Taylor was arrested after the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Unit conducted a drug investigation at the Smoke Shop at 6138 B Old Hwy 52.
Deputies said they received numerous complaints of drugs involving the area. Taylor received a $5,000 secured bond.
Synthetic marijuana has been banned in North Carolina since June 1, after officials say synthetic drugs contributed to the deaths of two North Carolina State University students in October 2010.
