Davie Co. Sheriff’s Office transitioning to new patrol cars

DAVIE CO., N.C. — Officials with the Davie County Sheriff’s Office said they are starting to transition into using Ford’s new line of patrol cars.

Authorities said Ford no longer makes the Crown Victoria patrol car and that the cost for upfitting the vehicle is about the same.

Officials said the graphics package has also changed and deputies are using a new company to upfit the vehicles.

The replacement vehicle Ford is now producing is pictured above.
