Davidson County High School student faces drug charges

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A Davidson County High School student is facing drug charges after the school resource officer found marijuana and Xanax in his vehicle.

Erik Organista, 18, has been charged with one count of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintain vehicle/place CS, simple possession schedule IV, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

On June 1, the school administration contacted the resource officer after they noticed Organista was under the influence of an impairing substance. After an investigation by the deputy, Organista was arrested and charged.

He has since been placed in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond. He has a June 28 court date.
