Darius Rucker to perform national anthem at NASCAR return race

DARLINGTON, S.C. — Country singer Darius Rucker will perform the national anthem ahead of NASCAR’s return race on Sunday at Darlington Speedway.

Rucker announced he would be performing with a video tweeted by NASCAR on Tuesday.

He is a South Carolina native and former frontman for Hootie and the Blowfish.

The race will be broadcast at 3:30 on FOX this Sunday.
