GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. was in the Piedmont today to attend the VF Corporation's "Jeansboro Day."

Earnhardt talked about his slow recovery from a concussion, but said he is making progress and should be fine to start next season.

He was also there with Richard Childress to talk about the early days of Richard Childress Racing when his dad, Dale Earnhardt Sr., drove the Wrangler car and just how great the memories are of that time in his life.
