DETROIT, Mich. — A Detroit father says he set up his own sting operation after noticing a 22-year-old man flirting with his 13-year-old daughter on Facebook.
The father lured the suspect to his home, where he forced him to confess on camera that the suspect was planning on having sex with the girl.
Eventually, police arrested the suspect. The suspect was still in police custody as of Wednesday, but the charges against him are pending.
The father says he researched state laws before setting up the sting in an effort to make sure the taped confession would hold up in court.
