McDONOUGH, Ga. — A Georgia father is in jail after police found him passed out behind the wheel with his two-year-old child in the front seat and a whiskey bottle in the car seat, according to WXIA.

A driver called 911 to report a man sitting slumped behind the wheel of his vehicle at an intersection in McDonough. The traffic light changed several times but the car had not moved, the caller told the 911 dispatcher.

An officer found the man passed out with his foot on the brake. A child was in the front passenger seat without a seat belt or car seat. The officer said he found a whiskey bottle in the child’s car seat in the backseat.

The man identified himself as Robert Eugene Mobley. He was driving without a license because it was suspended following a DUI arrest in July.

Mobley failed field sobriety tests, police told WXIA. A small baggy of white powder was also found in the vehicle.

The child was released to another adult.
