WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Keeping your neighborhood safe is a community effort and police say you can’t rely solely on them to do the job.

Law enforcement agencies across the Piedmont are using technology to help residents know what’s going on around their homes.

Crime mapping is a tool to keep tabs on where crime occurs in the community. Many people use it to be proactive and as a way to form partnerships with law enforcement.
