‘Suspicious materials’ found during drug search at Greensboro home

GREENSBORO, N.C. — FBI agents and deputies are investigating “suspicious materials” that were found inside a Greensboro home on Friday.

Deputies responded to 2902 Regents Park Lane to execute a drug search warrant.

Col. Randy Powers with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office says the house was a suspected marijuana grow.

Once inside, Powers says deputies found “suspicious materials.”

The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, Guilford County EMS, FBI agents and a hazardous response team are currently on the scene.

The 3200 block of Regents Park Lane at Lawndale drive is blocked while crews investigate.  Powers said some nearby homes were evacuated.

No other information has been provided.
