LEXINGTON, N.C. — Crews are wrapping up after getting a fire under control at Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse restaurant in Lexington.

Crews responded to the fire at 901 S. Main Street shortly before midnight, according to Lexington Assistant Fire Chief Andy Beck.

He says it took them about an hour to get the flames knocked down. The building is now a total loss.

Fire crews are now packing up their gear, but Beck says they will be back on the scene once the sun rises. They hope daylight will give them a better look at exactly what caused the fire.
