BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. — A house fire kept rescuers busy Tuesday evening in northeast Guilford County.

Firefighters say flames were shooting from the roof of the home at 7602 Fairhaven Road when they arrived shortly after 9 p.m.

It took crews about an hour to extinguish the blaze.

Nobody appeared to be at the home at the time and nothing was found during a search after the blaze was extinguished, officials said.
