REIDSVILLE, N.C. — State troopers have identified a man who died Monday morning in a crash on N.C. Highway 150 in Reidsville.

The crash was reported just before 6:30 a.m. near Candy Creek Road.

Trooper Greg Ingram identified the person who was killed as Bryan Baken Jr., 30, of Gibsonville.

Ingram said Baken was traveling west on N.C. 150 in a 2004 Pontiac sedan while Brian Harbour, 26, of Ruffin, was traveling east on the highway in a 2002 Ford Ranger.

According to Ingram, Baken’s car crossed the center lines, colliding head-on with Harbour’s pickup truck.

Investigators are not yet sure why Baken’s car crossed the center lines, but Ingram says they determined Baken is at fault in the crash.

Harbour was taken to Moses Cone Hospital to be treated for a concussion, a broken jaw and other minor injuries, officials said.

The State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

No other details were immediately available.
