3 injured in crash at South Main, Green in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police, firefighters and Guilford County EMS responded to a crash at the intersection South Main Street and Green Drive Thursday evening.

According to police, a passenger car was traveling westbound on Green Street at a high rate of speed. At the intersection of South Main Street, the car collided with an SUV traveling south.

Three people were taken to local hospitals. One person was transported to High Point, one to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and one to Forsyth Medical Center.

Their conditions are not currently known.

High Point police Capt. Mike Kirk said he expects charges will be filed once an investigation is finished.

The 911 call came in at 7:20 p.m.
