Crash involving ambulance reported in Burlington

BURLINGTON, N.C. – A driver accidentally hit the back of an ambulance in Burlington, but nobody was hurt, according to Burlington police.

Police said a 2001 Ford Taurus hit the back of an Alamance County EMS ambulance shortly after 11:30 a.m. Sunday on Garden Road near Huffman Mill Road.

Police said there was a patient inside the ambulance, but nobody was hurt. There was minimal damage to both vehicles from the low-speed collision.

The vehicles in the crash were relocated to a Golden Corral parking lot and the patient was transferred to another ambulance, according to police.

No charges have been filed. Anyone with any information about this case can call Burlington police at (336) 229-3503.
