Deputies arrest NC man in undercover drug operation

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — An undercover operation run by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office caught a man selling marijuana and other controlled drugs around Mooresville and Lake Norman.

The sheriff’s office launched an undercover operation at 286 Sundown Road in Mooresville after they received several tips about possible drug activity in the area, authorities said.

The investigation revealed that Zachary Jentz, 20, was selling drugs, according to authorities. Detectives purchased drugs from Jentz to add to the case.

Detectives searched Jentz’s house after obtaining a search warrant and found thousands of dollars’ worth of drugs as well as more than $4,500 in cash.

Detectives seized butane hash oil worth $5,250, hydroponic marijuana worth $798, pills, two gallons of moonshine, and pipes used to smoke the drugs.
