BEAUFORT, N.C. — The Coast Guard has rescued two divers after they drifted away from their boat about 10 miles off the coast of Beaufort.
The Coast Guard says it received a call Sunday afternoon from a crewmember of a boat reporting it had divers missing.
The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Vigorous heard the distress call and launched a small boat and found two divers about a half mile from the boat about 20 minutes later.
The Coast Guard says the crew of a civilian boat recovered two other divers.
The divers’ boat was escorted back to Coast Guard Station Fort Macon. The names of those on the boat were not released.
