Clinard Farms Road shut down after crash involving Lyft driver, SUV

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A wreck shut down part of Clinard Farms Road in High Point on Wednesday morning. The road has since reopened.

At about 7:40 a.m., police responded to the scene at Clinard Farms Road and Barrow Road.

Officers believe a Hyundai Elantra driven by a Lyft driver made a left turn onto Clinard Farms Road into the path of an oncoming GMC Yukon.

The Lyft passenger was not wearing a seatbelt.

First-responders were on scene, including EMS, the High Point Fire Department, High Point police and a crime lab.

It is unclear if anyone was injured.
