5-year-old hit by car in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 5-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

A child was riding a toy down his driveway in the 1500 block of Harding Street when he went into the street and was hit by an oncoming car at 4:36 p.m.

He was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with a non-life-threatening leg injury.

The driver, Shatrice Nichele Harris, was issued a citation for driving with a revoked license.
