RALEIGH, N.C. — A missing Maryland girl was found safe at a North Carolina home on Friday, but charges are now pending against the man she was with.
WTVD-TV reported that 12-year-old found Jasmine Baker was found around 10:30 p.m. at a home in Raleigh. Officials said she was with a man believed to be in his 30s.
The sixth-grader disappeared Tuesday morning after she left for school in Baltimore County. Authorities said she appeared unharmed when she was found.
Detectives are investigating how Baker met the man and the nature of their relationship. Investigators are questioning the man.
Authorities said the girl had a history of communicating with men on social media, through email, texting and apps.
