LOS ANGELES — A new contract issued by Capital One gives the company the right to “contact you in any manner we choose,” including calls, emails or personal visits, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times.
According to the report, the update specifies that Capital One “may contact you in any manner we choose,” including calls, emails, texts, faxes or a “personal visit.”
Capital One goes on to specify the visits can be “at your home” or at your “place of employment.”
While the police need a court order to visit someone’s workplace, Capital One states it has the right to visit its customers anytime, anywhere. Not even the IRS can visit your home without an arrest warrant.
In the contract, Capital One also outlined how they may go about finding you.
