CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The winter storm has caused major problems for travelers trying to fly out of Charlotte.

There were more than 125 cancellations and delays Friday morning and several people were forced to spend the night, according to WSOC.

Airport officials said that 1,000 people were stranded Thursday night — the second night in a row.

Hotels near the airport are completely booked. The bad weather and a national convention have made available rooms impossible to find.
