Burlington police release photos of vehicle of interest in fatal hit-and-run

BURLINGTON N.C. — Burlington police released surveillance images Tuesday of what they call a vehicle of interest in a fatal hit-and-run that happened on Dec. 5.

The accident happened on Dec. 5 shortly before 10 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Church Street near Piedmont Way. The victim was identified as Francisco Ngiraked Ngual, 59, of Burlington.

Officers responded and found Ngual in the westbound travel lane of North Church Street.

Burlington fire and Alamance County emergency workers responded and confirmed Ngual was dead.

On Tuesday night, Burlington police said they have developed a vehicle of interest believed to be a white Scion xB. The vehicle may have damage to the front bumper, Burlington police said.
