Burlington police release photo of suspect accused of breaking into vehicles

BURLINGTON, N.C. – Police in Burlington are looking for a suspect wanted after nine vehicles were broken into overnight.

The Burlington Police Department released an image of the suspect on Saturday.

The incidents were reported on the following streets: Dare Street, Morningside Drive, McKinney Street, Holland Avenue, Hawkins Street, East Webb Avenue, Whitsett Street, Cates Avenue and Pine Street.

Police responded to the crimes on Saturday morning. In one incident, a vehicle was stolen, but it has since been recovered, police said in a press release.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information can call Burlington police at (336) 229-3503 or anonymously call Crimestoppers at (336) 229-7100. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward.
