BURLINGTON, N.C. — Investigators are still searching for the gunman who killed a Burlington teen four years ago today.

Allante Murray, 17, was shot and killed in Jackson Park on June 12, 2008. Several witnesses have come forward over the years to describe the gunman, but no arrests have been made.

Composite sketches of the differing witness accounts can be seen at ci.burlington.nc.us.

In 2008, then-Governor Mike Easley added a $5,000 reward for information on Murray’s killer. That money, combined with the Crimestoppers reward, totals $7,500 that is still being offered.
