Burlington police investigating drive-by shooting

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that several people witnessed Monday night in Burlington.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Albany Street shortly after 8:30 p.m. Monday.  Witnesses told police they saw man inside a red Ford Mustang fire multiple gunshots toward a home, but no houses were struck and no injuries were reported.

Police said they recovered multiple shell casings from the road.

The Mustang was described as a red, mid-90s model with two doors, chrome rims and a spoiler. It was occupied by a white male and a Hispanic male.

Witnesses told police the Hispanic male is the one who fired the gun.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crimestoppers at 229-7100.
