BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington man was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in prison for coercion and enticement of a minor.
William Todd Flowers, 37, pleaded guilty on April 9 to online coercion and enticement of a person under 18 for criminal sexual activity.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Schroeder handed down Flowers’ sentencing, which includes a lifetime supervised release.
Flowers was also ordered to forfeit a cell phone and vehicle used in the offense.
U.S. Attorney Ripley Rand says the offense was committed over a social networking site between June 15 and October 12 in 2012. At the time, Flowers was a registered sex offender and on state probation for felony solicitation of a child by computer after a 2010 conviction in Alamance County.
