BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington man is wanted in connection with an assault and armed robbery that happened on April 3, according to Burlington police Assistant Chief Chris Verdeck.
Zachary O’Neal Bowe, 20, of Burlington, is wanted for robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
According to Verdeck, on April 3 at 6:14 p.m., Burlington police responded to a report of an armed robbery and assault on a juvenile in the 400 block of Key Street.
The juvenile told officers he was walking down the street when he was approached by a man in a white Nissan Sentra.
The victim said a short conversation was had and during the conversation the suspect retrieved a gun from his vehicle and struck the victim in the face with the gun.
The suspect then removed the victim’s wallet from his pocket and fled the scene, the victim told officers.
The victim was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center with injuries to his face and eye. He was treated and released.
