BURLINGTON, N.C. -- The city of Burlington launched a new app for smartphones and desktops Wednesday which alerts residents to crime in their neighborhood.

"Raids Online" is the latest service offered by the Burlington Police Department that let's the user see what kind and how many of crimes have occurred in a specific area or neighborhood.

If you live in Burlington, you can access the new crime map by downloading the "Raids Online" app on your mobile phone or by going to raidsonline.com

High Point and Greensboro also have similar crime tracking resources available which are available at crimemapping.com
