NEW YORK, N.Y. — Police are asking for the public’s help finding the people responsible for a disturbing prank in Brooklyn.

WPIX reported that skinned goat heads were found hanging from a street light at 9th Street and 5th Avenue in Park Slope Tuesday morning.

People initially thought the heads were Halloween decoration but further inspection determined they were in fact bloody goat heads.

The heads were eventually removed by a nearby business.

Police are looking into if the heads were purchased at a butcher shop in the area.

Many in the neighborhood suspect the remains were linked to an animal sacrifice ritual.
