GREENSBORO, N.C. – People of all ages circled the seven stages in downtown Greensboro to listen to live music.
Bluegrass, gospel and country were just some of the genres that echoed out for hours as people danced and sang along.
On the second day of The 75th National Folk Festival, the little bit of rain that came down didn't keep people away.
"I've got an umbrella," said an event goer.
The National Folk Festival will be hosted in Greensboro for 2015, 2016 and 2017.
FOX8 is a proud sponsor of the festival.
The three-day event is free to the public. The festival runs Friday through Sunday.
The event has some of the nation's finest traditional musicians, dancers and craftspeople. There are various performances, workshops and demonstrations. There's also a number of food vendors on-site.
"If you aren't down here, what are you doing? This is awesome and you really shouldn't miss out on it," said a festival goer.
